Rural Social Infrastructure
SALCRA is committed to uplifting rural communities by building robust public amenities and improving the quality of life in plantation regions.
Transforming Rural Sarawak
Through strategic investments and close cooperation with state departments, SALCRA develops critical public amenities, connecting remote longhouses to modern facilities.
Social Development & Amenities
Supporting participants with infrastructure and services that bridge the urban-rural gap and build self-sufficient communities.
Land Titles (Section 18)
In partnership with the Land and Survey Department, SALCRA facilitates the measurement and registration of Native Customary Rights (NCR) land titles under Section 18 of the Sarawak Land Code, completely free of premium charges.
Village Access Roads
Developing all-weather tarred access roads to connect remote longhouses and settlements to main state roads. This reduces travel times, enhances road safety, and eases transportation of farm harvests.
Bridges & Crossing Works
Constructing robust concrete and steel crossings across Sarawak's rivers to replace hazardous temporary timber structures. This guarantees safe transit for vehicles, school children, and pedestrians alike.
Rural Healthcare Clinics
Supporting the establishment and upgrading of rural clinics within project regions. This ensures that participants and plantation workers have access to basic primary care and emergency medical services.
Early Childhood Education
Promoting and supporting early education facilities and pre-schools within longhouse environments. Ensuring children of estate participants receive early academic exposure and a strong foundation.
Houses of Worship
Assisting in the building, renovation, and upgrading of local churches, chapels, and mosques. This supports the spiritual and cultural values of various native communities in plantation project territories.
Potable Clean Water Systems
Implementing gravity-feed water schemes, storage tanks, and local filtration piping in remote areas. This ensures clean, reliable, and hygienic drinking water is delivered straight to participant households.
Business & Entrepreneurship
Providing facilities, retail stalls, start-up advice, and commercial development resources. Helping rural families launch small trading, retail, sewing, or contracting services in their local hubs.
